Every piece of leather is unique as it is a natural product. Leather is not man-made, it is naturally grown animal product: the leather grows and “lives” just like the animal grows and lives. This is how leather obtains its distinctive character and its very special properties, that requires some caution in use and has to be looked after.

Leather: natural quality.

For our insoles & foot supports we predominantely use just the finest leather, because our products are always in touch with our feet. However, this also implies that the leather is constantly strained:

it bears our full body weight as well as the stress and friction produced when walking or standing for long hours and it is exposed to the sweat that is exuded by the feet – our feet produce up to one shot glass of sweat every day. Considering all these issues, leather is the perfect material to be used in these conditions: it is comfortable to wear and hard-wearing at the same time.

Every piece of leather has a distinctive character

In order to turn animal skin into leather, it has to undergo the tanning process. Here, we greatly rely on using natural substances – many of our leather products have been vegetable-tanned, without using harmful substances. However, even considering the many working stages the hide undergoes until it becomes a pedag foot support, leather still remains a natural product with a distinctive character and pattern. Little scars, pores and other irregularities on the surface of our foot supports & insoles are traces of the life of the animal and underline the genuiness of this product.
